Walbum - Week IX
November 6th, 2006
I’m getting into the swing of things now. I’ve got deadlines ahead and very busy schedule right in front of me. I’m very happy with the whole idea of the weekly blog journal entry. It keeps me accoutable. Fear is a good motivator.
—-
My practice has been taken up a notch. I’m working on fundamentals and just connecting with what I know on the instrument. I’ve got two tunes that I’m trying to develop and I’m working on different ways to look and play them.
—
I wrote a couple of flubs, and then fell into a nice tune. I’m trying not to get to attached to anything I write. After a couple of days or weeks I might be able judge things more clearly. I’m trying to get all of my writing done by Thanksgiving. That way, December is just a recording bonanza. I’ve got a two new tunes up at the Sibelous site. They are just drafts. Nothing fancy.
Also, I think I forgot to mention this in the previous post, you need the scorch plug-in to view my scores. It’s cool. Get it.

Hey Brendan,
Good to see a guitarist/teacher/blogger is already up and running… I’ve done a basic teaching website www.londonguitartutor.com- your site is more professional, but maybe we can give each other ideas, a trans-atlantic guitar exchange!
You’re right, a weekly commitment, being accountable, is a good thing for us crazy unreliable musicians!! I think it’s natural that people need to work on deadlines, be it an appointment with someone, or somehow, with yourself!
I’ve started a blog on my artist site, blog.julesfaife.com, but noone said anything yet!
Well done on the site, keep up the good work!

Sounds great Jules. I’d love to be part of guitar/teaching/blogging community (if there is such a thing).
Good luck with your blog!
