Guitar Lessons & …

Thirtysomething

Happy Birthday to Me

Today I celebrate 30 years on this earth. And no, I didn’t come from Mars 30 years ago. I was born here (actually in Binghamton, NY), thirty long years ago.

Along with my 30th, this year also marks my 15th year of studying guitar (see how I’m changing the subject). I’ve been playing guitar half my life.

I remember hitting the 10 year guitar milestone and being very pleased with the results. I could process things faster and I could group bigger concepts together. I hope the 15 year marker brings similar rewards.

And as long as were talking about significant ages, my father turns 60 this year. I’m half of him and twice my guitar experience. We need to find something that turning 120 & 7.5 and we can continue the streak.

To celebrate my birthday, my cousin Anna gave me a very nice home-made birthday card (see above). She made sure to put 30 candles on the cake. Now, who could ask for anything more?
